About Me

My photo
Ilse Silva
My name is Ilse Silva. I am in my second year of ACC and my second year of living in Austin. I was born and raised in a Hispanic household in El Paso, Texas. Like many people my age, my political knowledge is asinine at best. As much as I'd like to pretend I'm not, I truly am utterly ignorant. After taking the ideology quiz I found that my result was "solid liberal", which was no surprise due to my crippling optimism. Sadly, during my two years of being eligible to vote, I have still failed to do so and I would like to change that. I'd like to take this class to expand my knowledge in politics, government, and ultimately the world around me and how it works. I am eager and ready to learn about how my local government works so I can be more involved in making my ideals a reality.
